    Brain-Dead Software

    The software that this company uses in Maine is simply amazing in its incompetence. The people in the field, trained by and inherited from Verizon, are pretty good, but the people in the offices are strangled by software that simply does not work. I've been trying for a month to get a DSL line installed and they simply can not get the work order right. And when I call tech support and/or business customer support, nobody knows anything. That can't tell why there is delay, who is working on it, if anybody is working on it, what the next ETA is, or how to escalate the call. This has been going on for years. They hastily put in a mediocre (at best) software system when they bought out Verizon in 2008, but there doesn't appear to have been any effort to improve it since
