For the third time this summer, FRP's business internet customers in Maine were completely offline for half the day today. The internet is designed to survive a nuclear war, so finding a way to drop a whole state off the net is really an extraordinary level of incompetence. This puts every business in the state that relies on FRP at a disadvantage to the other 49 states. You can expect this to echo through the political establishment. Jobs and competitiveness are big buzzwords in Augusta.
Thanks to Fairpoint management, how many people have lost their Fairpoint Job? Last count must be near 1000 jobs lost. The place is full of incompetence. And the political establishment is what allowed this circus into the three states to begin with. Now all they can do is bail them out with grant money to keep them afloat. That is our taxes dollars being wasted on this corporate piggy bank. Shame on Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont for letting this happen.
