I'm new to the board. Just bought several thousand shares of DEJ, SSN and KOG last week.
There are questions about any company, obviously, but I like the fact that SSN goes into 2012 with $30 million in the bank and no debt, and with plenty of assets. I like what's in the pipeline with KOG and its long-term upside and with DEJ, I think it's probably the best bargain of the three given its current stock price and will probably make the most gains - percentage-wise - in 2012.
My question for anyone who may have a handle on this is realistically, does DEJ and or SSN appear more likely for a takeover at the end of 2012 or is it more likely that we're looking at 2013 or early 2014?
For the record, my primary reasoning for buying into these three was because I think acquisition prospects aside, they're good companies with strong assets whose earnings will increase, perhaps exponentially in 2012 and beyond. Was just curious about acquisition rumblings and what's more realistic time-wise.
Thanks and I hope everyone is having a wonderful holiday season.
