I received a reply from investor relations today and was assured that the supply of pet coke for UAN is not a problem.....read SEEKING ALPHA(part 5-11/23/11)today comparing UAN and TNH.
Very informative article.....I found it on Yahoo Finance under CVI articles....I'm sure most of you are familiar with "Seeking Alpha"? UAN has risk but it also has reward! I'm holding.....
I don't say it won't rise.
I own a lot of MLPs but I want income from more than I actually own - don't have cash to buy all the ones I might be interested in owning. So ones which didn't make my cut for unit ownership yet, I sell puts on.
Doesn't mean it's bad, just not a top priority for unit ownership for me, that's all.
Well I can't comment on whether this or that MLP will rise or not. I have no idea. But selling puts is a useful strategy with this IMO because it can be done every month and will end up being more gains than the distribution itself, if they always expire worthless. And if one gets put the shares (ie they don't expire worthless), then they have bought into UAN at a lower price than it was sitting at when they sold the puts. IMO a great strategy while also holding shares.
Good luck getting that price. Won't happen. Already priced in with distribution. Right now UAN is mostly following Corn prices. Watch and see. if Corn starts to rise 25 26 not too far away. Good luck with your puts, they will probably not profit for you.
susan, there you go again with your "this stock is too pricey" comment. Where's the beef? What is this "too pricey" based on? The yield is nearly 10% and comparable to TNH, their earnings metrics were double or more, and their selling prices for fertilizer were way above previous periods. If your theory is that fertilizer prices are at the top and ag prices are rolling over, then state that. If your theory is that Europe will collapse and cause a rally in the dollar which will hurt commodities, then state that. Fundamentals or technicals, please tell us.
