The dumbest thing is that there is a huge MLP conference this week in Connecticut.
All the big institutional MLP investors who might be buyers are out at the conference.
Why dump this huge number of units on a week when the big buyers are all out of town?
You normally make a lot of sense in the mlp sector. However i don't see the logic of your statement.
My opinion is that the company planned this out quite awhile ago and continued with it conference or no conference.
I dont know a lot about this company but was interested in it back in NOV, but what I saw was the problem with this company is that the parent retained too much power and when they need money will dump shares off. Didnt they do the spinoff because the parent wasn't doing so great?
UAN has a good business model but even if UAN does awesome, the parent will dump shares killing share holders value whenever they need money this is why i didn't get into UAN.
But i think if youre a long term holder they will dump shares only after its appreciated a nice amount, so its not so bad if youre a long term holder. but they do have a lot more shares to dump short term and long term and its something shareholders will have to face until ownership of those shares are transferred.
Yes when CVR did this it said max price 31.75 I think and it sold for 30.75 but ended up at $28.85 net fees and comissions... You can look it up but those #s are close. Anyway I was expecting UAN to get to arount 22.50..
Sold last night at 24.97.. so I am waiting.. A trailing stop wouldnt have helped me not lose the drop from 26+ the way this was done. So I made a buck plus on the stock and got the divi.
