The CEO retirement was announced quite a while ago; in terms of this person in particular being selected as the new CEO, I don't know if thats a surprise of not. I would say probably not. seems to have more financial and entrepreneurial bend to him, which is probably a good thing for a company like this.

CVR Partners (UAN) appoints Mark Pytosh as President and CEO of the CVR GP general partner, effective May 5.Pytosh was appointed as a director in 2011 and has served as CFO for environmental and energy services company Tervita; he also spent 18 years in the investment banking industry.
