Will someone tell me the problem w/Nokia?

I do not understand. Both QCOM & Nokia have patented IP on CMDA technology. More QCOM, less Nokia. They have a cross licensing agreement that expires in April. Nokia objects to renewal because QCOM allegedly charges too much. (No indication how much Nokia charges). If no renewal, Nokia cannot use QCOM's IP. So? Remember, QCOM does not make phones. How is Nokia ever to do any business with the various types of CDMA w/o a QCOM license,
especially when its competitors have licenses?

Can someone set this out in simple terms?
