Oprah Plugs "Who Do You Think You Are"

Oprah spent the hour talking to Lisa Kudrow and Brook Shields about what they learned on the show "Who Do You Think You Are" showing some excerpts. Can't get any better publicity than that. This will certainly generate additional viewers to the show and more exposure and hits for ancentry.com.

By the way is anyone out there reading this board. Let me know, otherwise there is no reason to post. Thanks.

    • Whoops, missed a lil round trip up to 19.10 back to my buy in point. That's the price us investors take to buy, hold, and not time the dips. You'll miss out.

It's been on Oprah? I missed that....is it on Hulu?

6 more episodes to go featuring a slew of outstanding cultural icons of the baby boomer and gen-x'ers?

ACOM is a buy and hold. Volume sure did spike this week though!

    • Good observation on the "Oprah effect." I look forward to watching when it airs later on my local station.

The show was off to a good start, with viewership at virtually the same level as the timeslot leader, "Ghost Whisperer," and 33% above what NBC had been averaging in that time period. Furthermore, Alexa estimated that visits to the ancestry website on Saturday rose 72% vs. the prior day. Time will how this translates into new subsribers and whether WDYTYA will hold (or improve upon) this initial audience level and earn a renewal on NBC (this Fall?).
