I had a feeling when Kramer and the likes started their big pump of this stock. Been on a southward trend since.
Yeah that's ok, I expected that it'd be a canned response, But I reported to them that Cramer's comments were spreading to websites like seekingalpha, only they are twisting them to be even worse, like seekingalpha saying that they "did not make numbers". That's legally actionable and unless RGR doesn't care, they will be forced to make a swift retraction/correction.
I didn't get any response from DE canned or otherwise, but the next day MidnightTrader was forced to put out a correction when they falsely reported that DE missed on revenue numbers. Cramer was somewhat involved in that one also, just generally bashing the companies quarterly reporting "style".
Unfortunately that seems to be canned reply for any email on any subject as that's the same response I got when we had to send RGR an email on another matter a couple months ago.
You get a confirmation email back that says:
Thank you for your interest in Sturm, Ruger & Company, Inc.
We will review your inquiry and consider addressing it in our next quarterly financial statement filing.
I hope they will take some sort of action sooner than that!!!
No problem, I did just send a messages to Ruger Investor Relations at the link:
https://www.ruger.com/dataProcess/contactSupport.php
You just fill out the info requested and for "Comment Relation:", you select "Stockholder Relations". Seems to have worked and they allow you a 500 character message.
@rugerguns actually resolves to rugerforum.net, which I guess is not an official Ruger address. Probably the closest we will get, though. Sorry if I overstated it.
My two twits have just been fired off. Thanks for the @rugerguns, didn't know about that one. We will keep pummeling him with tweets until he does right by us. My twit to Cramer was polite, but I insisted that a correction be made immediately.
@rugerguns As a stockholder I want to inform you that Jim Cramer badmouthed RGR on Fri Mad Money saying "they didn't deliver a good quarter"
I twitted at Cramer. Also sent a tweet to Ruger asking them why Cramer hates RGR, and telling them what he said on his stupid program.
@rugerguns is our company's twitter i.d.
Message sent to Cramer regarding RGR
You won't be able to get RGR IR by phone either. This company is lean down to the bone. I'm tempted to say there IS no IR.
Regarding Monday, I'm not so worried about Cramer's comments. His followers don't have that long an attention span.
I'm more worried that the black pool ops guys will have gotten back from their long weekend, probably hung over to the max, and the first order of business will be to get RGR back in the cage.
It's easy. I was waiting for a good enough reason. Will there ever be a better reason than this?
