The Conference Call was good
You can listen to a recording of the c/c, for two weeks. It's easy to access. It was uneventful, but very positive. BKE is opening new stores in Penn. N.J, TX, Ca, Ohio and Florida. Nice increase in men's denim sales. They are also trying a denim jean starting at $35 or $39, I can't remember which. They said they are trying to capture the people looking at sales items that shop other stores. The first comment was that they don't give forward guidance, but everyone here already knows that. For a company that won't give up any future comments, they sounded very, very positive about the companies outlook. I also think the questions the analysts asked, they were pleased with the answers they were given. No mention of any special dividends or splits. It was a good Conference Call in my opinion.

The reason I asked, is because there was a lot of speculation here on our board about BKE making an announcement this quarter. I know it's just speculation, but companies are pretty traditional on how they do things year after year.

It looks like in 2009 they announced the special on Sept 22nd. In 2008 it was Sept 16th with a 3-2 split. So my guess is around the Sept time frame.
