This has been a very successful stock to be invested with for the past year. I bought in Aug 2010 at $26.22), when BKE appeared undervalued. Today, it seemed to be a good time to take profits. Thank you to management for your flawless execution in the past 15 months. Also thanks for the two nice bonus dividends, plus the 5 regular quarterly dividends.
Good luck to all who are still long, but if BKE goes on sale again, I'll be back!
Agreed. In the 45$ range this looks fundamentally like it's a little expensive. The earnings picture is only slightly better than it was a year ago (when the price was in the mid-twenties), but the growth picture isn't as good.
Good time to look for a better entry point IMO.
I like to be long on BKE, but don't like buying at PE 15+ on a teen retailer.
The Buckle has grown its sales 138.35% over the last ten years at an average annualized rate of 9.07%. That might not sound like much, but another company that you may have heard of, Wal-Mart (WMT), has grown its sales at about the same rate at 146% while increasing their number of stores by 115% during that time.
