Buckle should continue to go strong as long as sales and earnings remain stable. They should go by at least 25%. Retail Apparel usually does suffer a post-Christmas sag, but Buckle should resist. They are a sector leader, not a follower. Checking the retail outlets during Christmas showed lots of activity. Keep the faith. Today's jump should make you feel better.
I am doing my homework on The Buckle but I discovered it while checking with the staff to see how Tommy Hilfiger goods were selling (very brisk was the reply) and ended up finding this gem. But as a TOM owner and firm believer in how undervalued it is (PE of 12 with a growth rate of 42%, no long term debt, and current ratio of 4-1). At any rate, what's your opinion on how Tommy goods are selling at The Buckle? Thanks much and good luck.
Tommy is selling well at Buckle as far as I can see. I think that is true everywhere though. With Versace dead, Tommy is really the boy wonder of fashion now. Entertainment Weekly did a nice piece on how Tommy is the designer of the stars (Both Hollywood and top music acts). There is definitely a market for the clothes. Younger folks love them for the name, and I think older folks will find they have a classic clean-cut American feel to them. That isn't a bad formula for growing sales.
