I bought shares of BKE a few weeks ago, based upon the increase in sales and earnings that have been occuring on a regular basis. The monthly report that was released this morning looks very good to me. How does the report look to you, based upon what the company has reported in the past?
I have reviewed the press release. I believe the five-week sales is impressive at growth of 30.2% or $6.2 million over same period last year. March's sales growth percentage was lower than February's sales growth percentage of 38.4%, but the March's growth in dollars was higher than the $5.2 million reported for February. I am concerned that same store sales growth dropped to 19.7% growth from February same store sales growth of 27.5% and January of 25.8%. Same store sales growth of 19.7% is great and many stores would love to report this, but I believe the high same store increases is part of the reason this stock was doing so well. Does anyone else have any thoughts? Does anyone know how BKE compares to GAP? What are GAP sales and same store sale? Go BKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
