don't fall for the excuse ...

company is blaming the 17% fall-off in next quarters forecast on the product changeover. Real reason is that there is way too much of their inventory in the channel. Company knew the transition was coming, companies like this know how to manage transitions. It's all smoke in mirrors.

    • no serious investor was in ovti for next quarter, they are investing for the long term. the product line is in transition. inventories were reduced by $14 million as a result. it is not like sales are forecast lower and inventories climbed.

on a cash basis, ovti earned 50 CENTS per share. cash is king....

i suspect we will see a lower price tommorrow as the investors that do not understand product transitions and the future value of patents and camerachip sales move on to other stocks. but the sell off will be followed by the serious value investors that will buy and hold for the long term.

      good luck to all longs.
