Transition will soon be complete and LONG-TERM growth outlook is intact. You are looking at two quarters and the company is lowballing besides.
OVTI generated nearly $ 70 million in operating cash flow the last 6 months even while they were in transition. Total liabilities as of 10/31/04 were $ 63 million. At October 31, 2004 OVTI had enough cash in the bank to pay its outstanding bills 4 times and then some. That is not hype, those are facts.
Show me another company priced at less than $ 20 per share with that degree of financial strength and a short interest as high as OVTI's.
Shorts are simply noise amplified by foul language. By definition shorts mostly resemble day traders looking for a quick buck. If OVTI goes down tomorrow by 50 cents or a buck tomorrow or the next day, at least one short proclaims victory, while covering his position. It's all noise. Most of us are investing for growth, which is what this stock will do. I face the same BS on the ATYT board every day. More shorts noise. If OVTI goes to $30, I may short it for a moment or two, but right now I'm content.
