Enjoy the next 2-4 weeks. After that your day is done. Just a matter of time.
A potential BILLION UNITS for lane change avoidance systems. Hmm wonder how much cash that would be??
CMOS Camera's selling like hotcakes and gaining over CCD, MP size increasing. ONLY intergrated CMOS provider out there..
Hmm wonder if they will succeed????
Just a matter of time my short friend, a matter of time.
Enjoy your "game" spunkmaster.
Also don't forget JWBOilT "time is market share." Can SONY and Samsung risk waiting that long to develop and manufacture those chips on their own? What if one of Sony's competitors decides they want current/cutting edge technology RIGHT NOW and they make a bid and buyout OVTI. This could spell trouble. OVTI is a threat to all parties if left alone out there.
The big OEMs like Sony and Samsung recognize that CMOS sensors are a core technology. They are seeking to develope their own product lines and are doing so. OVTI's success will be with 2nd tier OEMs. They don't have the time or money to develope CMOS technology. Furthermore, they can't afford to do so either.
Having said that, there is a small probability that OVTI will be bought by a Sony or Samsung. They may find it more difficult than expected to develop a CMOS roadmap.
It's just that Sony is having trouble designing a mass market CMOS for DSCs. OVTI has the technology and will be a great partner for Sony.
Perhaps this is the company your looking for.
They are in trouble indeed.
You're an idiot.
Did you read the post?
".. its next goal will be to build it into lower-priced digital cameras.."
The 12mp camera is for the high-end.
The 5mp camera is the sweet spot. 35% of the DSC market share. You know ... where the money is?
Again, you are an idiot.
