It is not likely that you will. Unlike other quarterly conference calls, this one comes at a time in which we are on the REG SHO list. That means that there cannot be any rampant or blind shorting of this security. After past CC's, we have seen millions of shares traded after hours that were sold short. It cannot happen legally this time. There may be some action after hours but it won't be massive shorting. IMO. On the other hand, with almost half of the shares outstanding already sold short, there isn't much wiggle room for an orderly exit. At normal trading volume, it will take over two weeks to cover the short positions. Only those who shorted in the high 20's can afford to cover and still maintain a profit so the doorway will get a bit tight if the earnings announcement is the least bit positive and even smaller if the guidance is good.
The worst news that the bashers could come up with in the last two weeks was that Hong did exactly as expected and sold his allowance. Bake that in with previous guidance and you have today's price.
