    ASP'S WERE DOWN!

In the CC, an analyst asked how gpms could be higher when asps were lower. The answer was yields at Taiwan Semi were exceptional this quarter. That's BS. They did the samething last year and the very next quarter, gpms came right back down. It was found out later, that the company sold a chunk of stale inventory. I suspect that's what happened this time too. Nice trick Hong. Listen to the CC yourself and decide...

    • it doesn't matter.. when the big guys are excited about the rising GM, it sounds weak for the small guys to complain about the falling ASP... i don't like the big compensation expenses, other than that they control their operational cost pretty well. all in all, the company is in good shape, gaining market share and multiple designs wins in the varieties of their products. think about it, about 75% of the world's population does not have the handset and 70% of their revenues come from handsets...not to mention the emerging products

Sales volume for TrueFocus(tm) which is probably 10-20% ... only going to gain... I'm not worried at all as pricing power is on OVTI's side, time will tell.

Compensation expenses, is the cultural difference of greed, I"m sure Mr. Hong is WELL Deserved to cash out.
