Interesting you assign any significance at all to price action from 4 years ago. 25.65 was the most recent breakout and has held after being tested. It's all about the CC Tuesday night and MAYBE psychological resistance around 35 if it isn't blown away in the possible earnings induced buying frenzy that good guidance could bring. Good luck ignoring fundamentals.
I love it when someone mentions fundamentals to me.
Let me begin by saying that people like you and me will never have all the "real" facts about a company. The information that is given has a lot of gloss in it and often is not the true picture. You, trying to make a "rational" fundamental evaluation of a company, put youreself into a huge potential problem inasmuch as you usually end up "buying" whole hog what you personally believe.
What I prefer to do, is let the big traders, the ones that are "in the know" tell me where they are putting their money. What they believe the stock is going to do. They will always have better information than I or you ever will. Nonetheless, their actions are always "reflected" in the charts and by learning to "read" the charts, you have a better understanding of what a stock is likely to do, than you ever will trying to fundamentally analyze a company.
By the way, what is your track record investing over the past 7 years? I have yet to have a losing year during that period of time, so I have to say the my "luck" has been pretty good ignoring fundamentals.
Tony, 7 years of positive returns is pretty impressive especially considering the environment lately. Can't match that. Just noting that CC's can break a trend in a heartbeat or cause it to accelerate. How did you do on calling the market bottom in early 2009?
