    Seems pretty straight forward ...

Both have 8 MP, what a bullshit story again, enfin I will wait upon facts, .... Reported is, as I remember correctly, see article look on June, OVTI 90% and 10% Sony.

But who knows what all happened, you never know, but I, my best guess, is nothing changed here, except the organized bashing like in spring, which was not true either.

Might be worthwhile, to let everybody, do their own analysis, till facts are there.

Than shorts, are suddenly the longs:-) Always same story.

Ericarr, you will not be long around here anymore, is my guess:-) what ever nickname or position you use, you tell only crap, abviously!

note that saying they "may" have missed deadline does not equal they "did" miss deadline. do you know the dif?

Berger writes that he still expects the next iPhone – which he and others call the iPhone 4S – to have an 8 MP camera, but adds that “OmniVision may be having technical difficulties with its new CMOS sensor, possibly risking its iPhone socket supplier status.”

The analyst adds his contacts says OmniVision “may have missed Apple’s commercial production deadline,” losing its lead supplier status for the image sensor to Sony.

      • Eric when is the iPhone5 due to hit the shelves? We don;t know crap yet, but what we do know is if it's not out this qtr thrn OVTI guided down 10M because the iPhone4 won't be selling much at all until the iPhone5 is out

      • Eric, even your old news from Berger says that OVTI may delay it and OVTI in its current CC says it was delayed( just 2 months since OVTI will provide it in tailgate of current FY quarter). So, 2 months worth of revenue at most and OVTI will be back to business. Meanwhile, AAPL will sample and test SONY chip and if it finds it OK (I doubt) then AAPL may keep a few % until OVTI comes to speed.
