WS anal-ysts are missing this one for not upgrading; totally confused with AAPL vs growth in China. Let's get this party started, I'll predict $1+ move Monday and $2+ by Friday. Anyone of you bulls have balls to agree? I'm buying more and will sell all at $22+ within 2-months.
You guys are going to have to do better than this if we're going to get to 22 by New Year's Eve. We need +1% each and every day for the rest of the year to get there. Come on, guys, you can do it!
I don't see this getting close to that unless margins improve. Revenues will be OK, might even be good. But if margins continue to struggle the stock will get a commodity multiple. Now that ipad news and iphone news are out I don't really see any catalysts, short of a buyout (which is unlikely). I am back in at 13.9, but not for too long.
Just dumb luck but it was an easy technical call as fundies line-up our way finally? OVTI's communica is known to be confusing and Wall Street unfriendly, reason for low valuation vs SWKS. $1.5B market cap puts us at what, $27ish, that's the buyout price for 77-yr young Hong. Would love to see shares crossing CNBC at $25+ soon, just dreaming yet it makes sense. OVTI has excellent high margin sensors just starting to be bought, old inventory is almost done imo.
The problem is - because it's not at all complex - "the Street" has little or no respect for the man at the helm. It certainly goes beyond poor ("abysmal" is probably a charitable characterization) communication skills. His honesty and/or grasp of reality are obviously not universally acknowledged. Think about people in your lives that you've decided are simply "not worth it." NUAN and I'm sure dozens of others pay a similar penalty.
You can rail about how unfair it is that the shareholders and employees suffer because of who's running the show, but there it is. Sometimes, you get a Steve Jobs, whose genius outweighs personal failings, but much more often the smart money is right when they seek opportunities elsewhere.
it was just at 20, no bad news since, looks like business is good, lots of nice things going on. But there seems to always, and I mean always, to be a disconnect in the stock price and reality. just my opinion.....
