Look good? The operating loss widened over last year. Show a gain only because of a tax carry forward...why the stock has been trading poorly. Why it may break out today is beyond me. Won't touch it.
Ok, maybe you're referencing the 4th quarter results? First, the 4th quarter is their down quarter where they build inventory for the coming year, the inventory is 40 million now, more than double the previous year. R-22 price increases will increase their revenue, profit margins, and inventory value.
They look to have another successful year on tap, 4th quarter results aren't an indicator at this point.
you have to look at the history this stock as been growing 50+ mill compared to last year and look at the last several years it is growing, it will continue to grow. price of R-22 will continue to go up in the long run meaning 3-4 years price of R-22 in my opinion will be as hi as R-12 (30+ per/lb at peak) or even higher and look were hdsn was then. EPA will phases out R-22 . other gases might be getting phased out also. so back up the truck and injoy the ride.
Sentiment: Strong Buy
The 2nd and 3rd quarter results for 2012 were both blow outs. Yet the stock went down 20-30% on those days. I think it would be great if we could just establish FINALLY 4 dollars as a floor. Breaking 4.50 is unlikely unless something short of amazing is revealed in the conference call. Hudson is a great company but im not holding during earnings way to volatile.
Great call. Management seemed not only confident but also resolute in there choice of words. When asked to discuss there distribution network there was something said to the effect of "wholesalers understand virgin gas is gone". In previous conference calls weakness in the stock came about form the uncertainty that the market did not quite fully understand or realize the shift in refrigerants as a longgg term situation, and now this seems clear. Congrats to anyone holding.
