    Earnings Release Date

     

    I put a bid in earlier today for 17.95...didn't go through. Oh well.
    My concern now is chat about a ERD of 28 Feb. IBD is showing 2 Mar. These dates are very near. How come there hasn't been a PR on a date by now ? Usually, most companies, release a ERD at least a week before. What gives ? If IBD is correct, that makes it a Thursday...which, given the odds, is not a very good day to release.

      I wish I knew the answer to that. I put my money on DXPE for now. Whereas NAVR is very cheap and probably at or very near its bottom, a great deal is not known about the outlook or the uncertainties that have plagued it.....so to really explode higher now would depend on a short squeeze occurring more than a strong outlook yielding an upturn. On the other hand, I think the visibility on DXPE is very good and it is nowhere near fundamentally overpriced. Any margin improvement would radically affect the bottom line since it has so much operating leverage and financial leverage in place. I'm thinking that the demand for DXPE's products/services is high and would remain high for quite a spell due to the Gulf region markets it serves. If that thinking is right, then margins should be better due to supply and demand issues. So, that's my opinion. But don't ask me how certain I am of my opinion. I'll avoid that one. Take care, pal.

      NAVR has been on my watchlist since it was 6. I'm glad I didn't buy then. It sure could double bottomat 3 though.

      "I will say this; if they get this report out in February, that will "hands-down" be much earlier than is typical for their last quarter's report. I personally think their are several signs like this that suggest we may get a good report. "

      i am also viewing the way management is handling earnings release, as well as Dutton's bullish outlook, as an indication of a pretty good quarter.

      They announce the earnings release date 1 day before. Monday after the market is closed there should be an announcement if the earnings are being released February 28th after market. Anyways should be this week at the latest. Everybodys anxious for the 2006 guidance and results of the 4th quarter.

      Anyone have any idea when they released earnings for the 4th quarter 2004 and full year of 2004 in early 2005? Maybe it would be a similar date for 2006.
