yeah, we have a sell-off AH, shorts are covering for some hefty gains.
mgmt didn't meet THEIR own target, but what do the analysts think? Revenue was a beat, EPS, using the share count prior to the 1M share sold, EPS was a slight beat too. (Analysts never changed those figures after the dilution)
apparently CO. had a huge expectation for themselves, and they did reiterate the full year.
i'm not selling. keeping those shares at least till end of the year; learned my lesson from BOOM (had to buy back at higher price than i sold)
You know me....one quarter does not a write a book. That said, I think DXPE mgt. was not pleased. The expectations have gotten really high for the company.....there's no margin for error. So, IMO, it was a miss relative to what was expected or what we've grown used to.
However, however, value is another issue. The outlook is what will lead the price after the stock does whatever it's going to do. The quarter was not terrible and DXPE is viewed by most as a much more solid company today than it has ever been. I'm sure this was a tough day for mgt.....and they have never misled us....not so long as I've been here. They want to please, and I think they had a hard time not presenting what we've gotten spoiled to expect....all, IMO. December is less than 6 months away, and it may be a much different mentality then.
