I own CROX as well. Everywhere I go I see kids wearing CROX with those Jibblitz things on them. I'm currently in an international MBA program, and the students from China and Brazil that come to the US all want to buy CROX shoes to take home to their kids. They are hard to get overseas since the demand is so high. Who would have thought that shoes could make such a big deal?
A wise man once said, "buy shares in a company that could be run by an idiot, because one of these days it will be run by an idiot."
Nike has a $27-Billion market cap, forward PE of 16, return on capital of 18% and quarterly growth rate of 8%. CROX has a $3.6-Billion market cap, forward PE of 23, return on capital of 43% and quarterly growth rate of 217%.
You do the math. At some point CROX may take a tumble, but they said that about Google when it went to $200/share, now over $500/share.
