My luck! Because of someone's opinion....the stock sinks (no pun intended....but not bad though). Not on fundamentals, not on numbers..but an opinion. Doggammit.
As per Wells Fargo Analyst, SSW trades at a 111% premium to its closest peer (CMRE) making it the most effective short call in the group in our view.
SSW Up and CMRE Down what kind of analysts they are?
yeah, but who cares...in five years you'll have collected probably eight or ten dollars per share in dividends and be able to cash out for who knows what value, but likely quite a bit higher than the past twelve months high...
Oh...I am sitting pretty. Bought my shares during 2008-2009 at various points averaged out at 8.27 and have been reinvesting divies. That part I am not complaining. I will #$%$ and moan when I will eventually sell and pay taxes on realized gains. But even then sell my CAT along too offset the gains with the losses from CAT.
And then they buy on the sell off that occurs after the downgrade. Does the SEC even look at stuff like that? I'd sure love to see who is buying after these downgrades. Nice bounce back today, even in a red market.
