The only thing I can figure is when the institutions own 88% and become the long and short, they can do whatever they want with it....If FUS suffers, they'll ride it down....If FUS maintains and other synergies are positive, they're ride it back up.....For the mean time, the Institutions will collect their rental income until they decide to release this hostage called SPPI.
Isn't that the truth. Join the club. I would request that one or more of the "thumbsdown" guys please enlighten us as to:
1. How it is possible to ever cover a short position when you need to Purchase 29.5 MILLION Shares which represents approximately 60% of ALL non-insider owned shares in the entire Company. Especially when the Company is buying back shares and reducing the float on an ongoing basis and thereby driving EPS increases up?
2. The Company has a revenue run rate of over $300 MM and has set 8 consecutive quarterly records for revenues and earnings year over year. And is estimated to have its BEST quarter ever in Q1 2013 with almost $97 MILLION in Revenue with a piddly ridiculous 7 PE Ratio.
This would be one of the Very Last Stocks that I would Short today. I would short APPLE way before SPPI???
Please let us know "thumbsdown" guys. Very interested in your rationale.
To stay short, you have to believe it is more likely the PPS is going down a lot, rather than up.
The last 48 months, SPPI is UP 800%. Since Nov. 8th, you have lost over $25 MM by not going long. IMO, it will only become worse.
