Fusilev(60 times costlier) is NOT superior to Leucovorin in safety/efficacy. Go check Fusilev's label
The only reason why Fusilev is holding up , is the perverse incentive that Docs have in making more for the business. They could care less who pays the bill, insurance companies or patients(increase in premium because of unnecessary costs like this). Docs get 6% of the drug.
What Obamacare will do when they see this wasteful expenditure is anybody's guess.
I lost a ton of money believing in the statements from this company. I dont want others to be misled which is why I am posting here. Also, remember SEC is investigating here.
You make this arguement about once a month as if it is a good one. Complete disregard for previous information that Fusilev is less toxic, especially at stage III and IV toxicities which for a sick patient can push him or her over the edge. As a Doctor, would you want to risk doing that to your patient especially a very sick one? Spectrum announced they intended to run a one on one test against the generic to settle all the arguement but put it one the back burner for now......to many other fish to fry for now. This drug does 200 million in Europe where there is plenty of generic available............reason........it is less toxic and therefore safer for a very sick colon cancer patient.
no2crooks, your point on Europe sales is the big hole in short theory. I wonder which drug the shorties would want if, God forbid, someone close to them was in need if it. After all, 20% of the dextro isomer is absorbed in a 25mg dose of leucovorin.
If it was me or my family, I would want Fusilev.
Fusilev is superior and that is a fact. There has been NO RECALL of Fusiev for Patient Safety and IMPURITIES.
The racemic generic has more IMPURITIES, more TOXICITY, and MORE RECALLS. ALOT more. Fusilev has NONE. NONE. The facts speak for themselves.
Also, everyone knows that Raj did not willfully do anything to mislead shareholders. Imo, the shorts did.
You need to do alot of work before your depo if you are a lead plaintiff. seriously, your story is thin. Raj does not wilfully lose $10MM to lose at least $5.5MM or more himself. That argument is dead on arrival.
hey joe you are not responding to what I said. CLINICALLY, Fusilev is no better in safety or efficacy over Leucovorin. Otherwise the company would have conducted a superiority trial and got this on the label. Do you get this simple fact ? I am not talking tap water or purified water. I am talking FDA science.
