1. The markets are waiting to get through the Christmas season. Retailers in general will be weak until they get what will be a weak season behind them. ***This refers to retailers in general, not specifically to GME. Thus if GME takes a hit with the retail sector in general, consider it a buying opportunity! But don't expect GME to move up much for the rest of this year.
2. I don't like the fact that Barnes and Noble is running the show here. GME would be a better company on its own!
3. My nephew the computer game freak swears this company's stores are the best!
I agree with 1 and 3 - Christmas sales are already priced into the stock, and unless GME really blows out the numbers (or blows the numbers), there's a ceiling on the stock.
Regarding 2, I am a former employee in their corporate office. I can tell you absolutely without hesitation that BKS does NOT run the show. Riggio gives advice, certainly, but GME runs the company. GME has some of the best & most aggressive retail executives I've ever worked for. A big plus for the long term of the company....
