First I have to commend the amount of quality posts on this board lately. It's refreshing to see even a little less bashing. My positions are in MCZ and GME very large now, yes I have lost my rear being long in GME at all prices, but am a recovering GME-aholic, MCZ is like a fire fight even stepping in with BS everywhere. It is a good buy for those with some pocket change. I have heard through the field director that GME will be releasing some form of statement in mid Feb, he didn't clarify earnings, he did say that they are concerned on a recent CC that the market's volatility is affecting shareholders in a bad manner, he has been quoted as saying this once again is their best quarter ever and best year. The unfortunate part is timing, we all know if the market is angry, which they have been as of late that this news may not make a major difference. He did mention that the highest execs were bolstering support on WS recently, notice how a Citi upgrade immediately followed, I think some news is leaking that this will in fact be a winner over the next month. He also said there's a lot of internal discussion on a 2 for 1 very soon, he said most likely to happen when they release the options to field and executives for their services. I tried to find out how many get released, he said about 150,000 in his opinion, he said that is when the spilt triggered last year so that they were given x number and it doubled a couple days after they were issued. He feels this will happen again because it is an incentive for the mgmt, who wouldn't want an option issued at x number that will double in a few days, I think that's a great idea and perk that makes sense. He said this would happen in mid Feb if it happens, between 2-16/2-25 range. Keep an eye out and I will let you know more if his mouth keeps leaking. Good luck friends.
Who is your source as the title "field director" doesn't exist in their organization. Also, options are distributed during the annual review process which does occur in late Feb. but "150K" is a very light number. GME distributes options from the Store Manager position and up. With over 5000 stores, even at 100 shares per SM, 1/3 of the options would be gone.
While I hope that there is a 3/2 or 2/1 split, it seems like your information may not be accurate.
