I blame the SEnate for the selloff

Well I don't know about that. Guys have always had the choice of not raising the baby before abortion was a legal option. (leaving the cow when the calf comes along)

I am so anti-women's lib it ain't funny. I appreciate some of the movements end results (I'm happy I can own property and vote in today's primary), but the negative social results for women were so terrible. No respect for the very important roles of women in motherhood, keeping a home and just being a lady. Degradation of the pride and good things about being a man or manly. Getting stuck in the role of provider and still being the primary childcare giver, cook, launder, house cleaner in lots of cases.

Truthfully, women and men aren't equal, weren't created that way and never will be. Physically men will always be superior, we think different, we have different hormones, we're just different. Women have got to learn to deal with it and be proud of who/what we are. We'd save ourselves a lot of headaches.

Sure, there are chauvinists. Ignore 'em. Sure there are sexist job things, but good grief, we are the only sex that can HAVE to miss a bunch of work with pregnancy, babies, childrearing. It SHOULD be a bit of a detractor to employers b/c we should be more focused on caring for our children than climbing some danged corporate ladder and our husbands should be more focused on providing materially for the family (not saying women can't/shouldn't perform well in work or men can't/shouldn't perform well in childrearing, just talking focus). The stereotypical situation is that way for a reason.

Boy, I'm an opinionated little thing. Off the soapbox.

But, I've had the good fortune of always being around good men (father, husband) and have not felt the burden of "being under a man's thumb" so what do I know?
