Talk about manipulation. Look at how many shares that have changed hands over the last couple hours, and this baby barely moves one way or the other. This Market is totally ridiculous. Do they really think we buy this crap?
Look at the recent buys and holdings by institutions.
Goldman Sachs recently bought almost 7 million shares and they hold more than 11 millions shares.
Sentiment : Strong Buy
Yesterday was a chance to buy at a fair price. These guys at GME have beaten often enough to just wait for the nervous to sell pre earnings and then buy and take the ride. This is my second time doing this (only kept away during the worst of the past 6 months). Great company, great numbers. I want to thank those posters who had it right which helped push me to enter again yesterday below 41. If not for the bear market, this baby would soar. For now be content with a good gain.
Are you talking to me? What the heck are you talking about?
That sucks you got duped by that article. I personally didn't even see it. I've never heard of an article being that far off before and I've been investing for quite a while. Maybe you have grounds for a lawsuit depending on how much you lost if it's worth it or not.
I use Scottrade.com which puts DowJones News Wires out which are usually perfectly accurate and to the point. Headlines would read beat by X and raise 2008 guidance by X 2009 guidance by X. Also, $7 trades is great. Options are an extra 1.25/contract.
Did you not notice the entire market turned around today right about the time there was a bullish call in Lehman Brother's?
This is the top headline at Yahoo! Finance..
Stocks End Mixed on Rising Oil, Financial Worries- AP
Wall Street ended mixed Thursday after investors largely shrugged off a jump in oil prices and focused instead on a bullish analyst call on Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc. that eased worries about the financial sector.
I expect this momentum from financials to continue at least into tomorrow pulling the whole market up with it..
"We'll see what happens in the next few weeks, but I've traded long enough to know this is what happens to the sail-boards when your in the water with ocean liners."
Hang in there. We'll probably see some rough waters until the Holiday season and GME's 4th Q, but after that we should see smooth sailing.
"Financials could easily pull the whole market up tomorrow. They've fallen too far too fast."
We just had a Financial rally a few days ago. If I recall correctly, the Market did have an up day, but GME didn't fair that well. In-fact, I don't think any Sector did very well except for the Financial Sector...:)
Yeah, that's the way it goes. But traders like myself ( for absolutely no rational reason) have to suffer in the meantime, while they play their games. I've gone through this BS so many times, it's getting very tiresome.
What should have been a joyous day, they turned into a mockery.
