$70 a controller for Wii (Wiimote, Nunchuck + Motion Plus) x 4 controllers = $280
A game for XBOX360 and PS3 = $59.99
A wireless adapter for PC= $10, a wireless adapter for XBOX360= $99.99
I would say its far from cheap entertainment.
There is a difference between replacement and substitute, just because a certain game isn't available online to download doesn't mean that digital downloads dont affect it.
There was an article about on Madden 2010. Someone who downloads the Madden app for iPhone for $9.99 has a much lower chance of choosing to buy Madden for the console as well for the full price of $59.99
Digital content is providing options for consumers. Those options ultimately take away from retail because of the experience they provide even though it may not be the exact same.
I expect to see an SEC investigations as to manipulartion in the GME"
HeHe. If only! If history is our guide then I wouldn't expect any investigation of a large short fund manipulating. If anything, one of the tools i've seen used against good but heavily shorted stocks(DNDN most recently comes to mind) is that in all liklihood they get the SEC to send some letter of inquiry/investigation to the company being shorted. It's all BS but anything helps. Lawsuits is another one I wouldn't put past them to employ. Captured analysts/journalists go without saying. Too much money to let these things ride on chance(or fairness).
"look at the PPS, someone is bothered by it!!!!!! "
Not the big money shorts. No doubt in my mind they are driving this stock. With all their resources they may be right but i'm betting at these prices they are simply manipulating because they can. All info available to us retails is that the model is fine per latest CC, that store traffic is good, and that sales on boxes and new games is also very good which should translate into incr other sales for GME as they are incr market share. Has anyone seen any negative data wrt GME?
