Activision reports $4.28 billion in GAAP revenues, $1 Billion Stock buyback, first dividend payments, and $3 billion in cash!
Who says the gaming industry is failing?
Gamestop's market share in the US depending on where you look is between 20-25%... what company do you want to invest in? if not gamefly and the physical disk "netflix" model, then downloading, and akam?
"You keep investing with companies that have 10% market share... haha..."
I see the presence of logic and information has rendered you senseless. I've no idea what you're saying here. I do know ERTS and others list GME as having around 14% of their business, so liking something that's 10% makes you an idiot but loving something that's 14% makes you an expert? That doesn't make any sense.
Then you started on about Gamefly even though I never mentioned them. What?
Ah yes, how quickly we resort to the old classic...
"if you believe that everyone will switch to that in any sort of near term"
Translation - it doesn't matter if 10% do, then 20%, then 30%, or that it's a clearly growing trend, all that matters is that so long as it's not 100% then everything is all good!
When have I ever said "everyone", or even "most"? There is a large middle ground between nobody and everybody you know.
wait till you have a problem such as your computer having to be reformatted, crash due to a virus etc... a majority of people choose the physical product over downloads... that's awesome that you're in the few, the proud, the "downloaders" if you believe that everyone will switch to that in any sort of near term then invest accordingly... in reality it's not something that will legitimately catch on for 4-10 years
And what are their big titles this year and next year?
Starcraft 2, WoW Cataclysm, Diablo 3, Battle.net micro-transactions and maybe subs, and selling of those Blizzard games through Battle.net which will likely become a portal for much more than just Blizzard games.
That's not good news for GME.
We will have to see GME's earnings report to determine that.
I suspect it will mirror ACTI and they will report a blow out year. If GME can't show a strong profit, with the best ever game release in COD MWII, then they can't show a profit on anything else. I would suspect all the money they have made would have been diverted into Executive salaries and bonus accounts, if that is the case.
I would sell instantly.
