It doesn't to me. But the NPD Report for October is$30 million for ALL PC related SALES (New Hardware/Accessories/Software).$30 million. What I am getting at is we have Battlefield 3 and RAGE just to name 2 that released during the month.Nevermind SIMS 3 PETS as well...Come to think of it...Everything that released in October for the PC Computer Software seems to me to be perfect candidates for Digital Dnload Sales rather than physical sales.SIMS 3 (anything) is obvious.... Electronic Arts has always had an online shopping center for that title. So buying expansion packs digitally is just logical.RAGE for (ID SOFTWARE) just like Battlefield 3 are First Person Shooters. Perfect for digital dnloading.Neither of which had any kind of crazy ALDUIN statue collector's edition to motivate people to buy physical. In fact... 3 out of the top 5 games sold in 2011 October all had PC versions. All of these had DIGITAL VERSIONS for dnload.Battlefield 3NBA 2K12RAGESIMS 3 PETS not shown at all in the TOP 10 but is a TOP 10 best seller on IMPULSE. Currently ranked 5th.So let me get this straight...The issue with October is overall NEW SKU retail was up 1%instead 999999999999999999999999999999999999999% year over year. But with 1.8 to 2 million copies of Battlefield 3 sold Physically....and who knows how many copies sold digitally..Who knows how many copies of RAGE or SIMS PETS or NBA 2K12 were sold digitally (I personally bought the digital version of RAGE).Bottom line is this...There can be NO DOUBT in my mind at least that Digital PC October 2011 sales were greater than Digital PC October 2010 sales.Just how much greater remains to be seen...If the whole problem is not seeing a 14% increase...I just wonder how far off we are really if you factor in Digital PC Sales? There can be no doubt the momentum towards Digital PC Software is much more accelerated than Digital Console. So same store sales are falling..taking hits...while Platforms like ORIGIN / IMPULSE / STEAM / D2D / and the 3 console marketplaces are going up.Dollars Cents makes no matter where the money was earned. But, having your Bricks Stores suffer same store sales declines this severly does matter. So *sigh* I still think that Wall Street is hammering (GME) way too much and too prematurely here.
