    Mobile Initiatives

GME's entry into the mobile device re-commerce business represents an opprtunity, but with risks of course. According to management, it's a big opportunity and they expect it to grow considerably over the next few years.
It seems like a nice opprtunity (big addressable market, ability to attach GME apps into installed base, etc), but concerns are around execution:
    1. Can the refurbishment facility, stores, an staff handle the volume?
    2. Will people be willing to buy used tablets (as they are willing to buy used games)?
Hope that others have some insights here....

    • I would have bought a used tablet from Gamestop had the Nook Tablet been part of thei program.

I easily see people buying used tablets for three reasons.

      1) It is cheaper than buying new and that works for those who cannot afford otherwise to buy a new Ipad3.

      2) Gamestop adds free video games as a bonus along with a wireless joystick compatible with some of those games.

      3) I bought a used PlayStation 2 from them which has been incredible deal for me. Love my used system as it was refurbished and looks brand new. Game systems used business is already established so why not tablets?
