A Big DuPont Biofool Misleads Investors With PR Bombast on Leadership #2
Frankly and personally, folks, We believe DuPont lacks the critical mass of creative and incentivised scientific and managerial talent to catch up with its superior-performing competitors in the agricultural arena, much less take the lead. DuPont Management for years has been severely cost-slashing and degrading its people resources. Infectious demoralisation has ensued from the cancellation of long-promised pension benefits, reduction of healthcare benefits, forced "voluntary" furloughs, tens of thousands of layoffs and redundancies, exporting jobs to China and India, SHAM SAFETY in the workplace, dumping veterans and hiring inexperienced cheap contract labourers, and stringing women and men along, not knowing whether or not they will be sold down the river with the next round of futile "transformation".
We won't even mention the divisive impact of Management's mandated Diversity Model, by which hiring and advancements are a function of colour and gender preferences (old-fashioned affirmative action quotas).
Add to the mix the deliberate compensation policy of paying people sub-market rates of compensation, and you don't have individuals fired up to innovate and produce and make money.
