The people who bought this week and did not sell are racking up some big, big losses. How much pain will they have to endure before they admit their mistake??????? I am just glad that I am not one of them...........
You showed your lack of intelligence. Be careful how you word your Posts. People who "did not sell" are racking up big losses... Nope... by definition they didn't sell so there is NO losses. You don't lose unless you sell and only "idiots" buy high/sell low. Best now is to either hold and/or accumulate when you feel you are at or near bottom. This will shoot right back up on the next round of news. It's a given.
Losses are losses whether you take them or not. If you sell and have losses or hold them as losses they are still losses. Losses are losses any way you cut them. Paper losses are losses and actual cash losses are also losses. Either way you are a loser if you have losses at any point in time.
Also how does this work out for people that bought after Dec 18?
The special dividend of 100% is in essence a stock split but only people that bought before Dec 19.
So assuming this price holds when split happens people that bought today will see their stock cut in half but do not get the additional shares?
"how does this work out for people that bought after Dec 18?"
The exact same way it works for people who bought before Dec 18.
"The special dividend of 100% is in essence a stock split but only people that bought before Dec 19"
No. It is the ex-date that determines who gets the dividend, not the record date. The ex-date has not yet happened and has not yet been determined. The ex-date will be the day after the distribution date .
The company told you this in yesterday's press release. Don't you read them?
