Waited almost 20 minutes in cold weather in NYC. Wife and I went inside for first time and classic lines were impressive. I really felt that their new lines are over the top and quite repusive. Despite the apparent demand for these boots/shoes now, my question is where does Mr. Martinez take this company in the next 5-10 years? It seems to be filling the needs of a smaller category/market segment. Not as diverse as I would like.
I think where Martinez is "taking this company" is down the toillet.
Wasting money on elaborate headquarters, $85 million stock buyback , grossly overpaying for Sanuk brand , shuttering Simple brand etc... is disgraceful.
This guy Martinez seems to have an inflated ego and is being irresonsible with Deckers assets.
