This dog isn't going to go anywhere unless there is a buyout.
Went out for Black Friday shopping to Ugg store. Long line to get in and in after 90 min., but very disappointed. Not many people are lining in the cashiers. Most of reaction from shoppers turned negative after disappointed. They are looking for bargain, but not much bargain. Bargain only in accessories and very a few outdated items. Who wants to buy accessories in Ugg store? DECK is for day traders. I don't think there will b any strong growth the people want to see in this holiday season.
You don't get bargains inside a Coach store either!
Walmart has some faux sheepskin boots bargain priced!
Deck's not a "value-brand", but a luxury brand!
Have you priced much North Face? Go to #$%$ and see a regular fleece Northface jacket selling for $200! Mind-you, N.F.'s fleece isn't silk, but plastic fleece, maybe a bit better quality plastic-fleece than the one selling at the discount store down the street for $5-10 bucks!
PPS of the stock is sagging and lagging, but it's a short-noosed affair as much as anything else, imo.
I do encourage a value-added buy-out though! Tough stock to stick-with, but if you aren't a "day-trader-only", I think you'll wring some value out of these shares provided your cost average isn't too too high! IMO!
Sure, DECK is a luxury brand. But right now, most of people already have Ugg boots, and they are not going to buy any more unless there are bargains. Ugg boot FAD is going down the drain. That's why there won't be any strong growth that people want to see in coming years. Sure they will sell some boots in this holiday, but its sale won't be good as what most people hope for.
