Explain to me why DECK take 45 days to close the quarter and release earnings ?
I found that a lot of these highly speculative mid-size public companies tend to stretch their time to the max when it comes to releasing their quarterly earnings. Look at companies like AA, MSFT, AAPL could release their earnings within 20 days after the quarter closes.
Why can't these other companies do the same when their stock is publicly listed ? They need to live up to the same standards as other successful companies. Usually when I see companies that take their time to release earnings, I tend to think that either their Finance department is not efficient and that they don't really care about their investors.
As long as they are within the guidelines for reporting and they follow that all the time what difference does it make? But then again you knew that's what they did Before you put your money in..... right?
Why can't take be ahead of the guidelines on reporting on a consistent basis ? It is like if your boss gives you a deadline, you're okay if you finish by the deadline. But if you're finish early, you're considered an efficient worker. Not doing any wrong things doesn't mean that you're a good person. It is the extra things that you do in life that makes you stand out.
