    Bad news...

    ..for shorts !!!

According to data agency Experian Marketing Services, more people were searching online for the soft shearling boots than any other gift item.

They beat tech must-haves including the Kindle Fire and the iPad, which took second and third place respectively.

‘I guess it was a bit of a surprise to me this year because we heard some news from Decker that was a decrease in Ugg sales going into the fourth quarter.

    ‘But Uggs really are a

late fourth quarter product, so it showed up once again out of 1.2million search terms to our retail 500 index. It was the number one searched-on product, so that I think indicates that we’ll see a little bit of a bump in sales this holiday season.’

But while Uggs remain popular, fashion insiders cannot wait for them to fall out of favor.

Stylemaker Alexa Chung slammed the boots on Twitter, stating that whoever invented sparkly Uggs is ‘on the hit list. Along with whoever brought back harem trousers.’

Fashion Police panelist Kelly Osbourne also considers shearling boots a fashion faux pas.

She told Bang Showbiz: ’British fashion is definitely better. Did you know they UGG boots with mini-skirts in the summer in LA?! There’s no question, LA styl

    e is #$%$.’

The other products on the ‘most-searched online’ list were predominantly tech-related, including the iPad Mini, iPod Touch, Amazon Kindle and Beats by Dr Dre headphones.

The exception was Barbie. Almost 54 years since the doll first hit stores, she remains a childhood favorite.
