    • All Bs aside short selling serves no purpose.

If upside is not attractive investors will sell real shares at a loss. Stocks will continue to or once again be priced in line with company performance and supply and demand equations rather than the current destructive short everything mania.

Destructive of what? Stocks and stock markets exist to allocate capital based on success or perceived value of future business.

Shorting destroys the effectiveness of that allocation (and the economy that relies on it) and rewards aggressive market manipulators.

Most recently naked shorting rewarded those involved without them having any capital whatsoever at risk.

Fix it, its broke, and will self destruct. Regulators had to, never again will anyone be able to profit in the market without first investing.
