I was thinking of buying JNK then I found CHI. JNK is all high yield. CHI is high yield and investment grade bonds. It is a convertible bond etf which and because of this the etf holds stock as well. Seems more Diversified. What do you think.
I have been in CHI since the start around 2003. Good steady income which I use to buy other stuff. I think if memory serves me right this came out around $12.50 and has bounced between there and $17 ish during that time. Good income producing fund that takes little of my research time which I love. Own CHY for what it's worth also.
I've had this for about 10 years and use it as a major income producer for my continued retirement, paying 8-12 % since i owned it and it has excellent mgmnt. And it pays monthly, which fits well into my income requirements. The Calamos family(Nick C.) is a convert. expert.
