This is by no means confirmed, but just came across a message from a Mesa management figure mentioning a potential 70 aircraft deal with UAL.
I never thought Mesa would fly with UA again...so I am a little skepticle but Mesa is sitting on a lot of aircraft and imagine are ready to fly them for free and with UA......we will see.
All things being equal (which they obviously aren't):
Let's focus on hole's $192 million loss over 3 quarters - that's a $64 million loss per quarter.
Then divide that $64 million by ACAI, AWAC, and SKYWE and you get an average loss of $21.3 million for each regional airline a quarter. (Again, I realize all things aren't equal.)
Now how much did UAL lose over the last several quarters? Do you think the regional contracts will be high on the UAL reorganization list? How much do you think UAL is losing through union contracts alone?
Again...are you shorting ACAI and SKYWE at $5 a share? When is your option up? Do you understand the relationship of a regional partner of a major airline? You realize we aren't meant to be another JetBlue or Southwest. We don't set the prices, UAL does. I find your lack of understanding frustrating to say the least.
