read the jet landed with a 10 knot tailwind. i wonder if the reason was a thunderstorm or an arrival from the south and a straight in approach to the north to save time. either way, i guess it didn't save any time. glad everyone was ok.

Per the FAA it is an absolute dollar value of damage that determines the difference. Also, whether or not there were fatatlities (in this case fortuneately not). I am sure the pilots will be biting their nails and to a lessor extent Skywest.
Per the use of communicating in English....it was an accident. Just like a fender bender is an accident, falling off a fence is an accident.....etc.
