The objective is growth - that is what the company is doing. They are growing their offerings, which will grow their revenues, and will grow profits. If you want a stodgy stock that will pay you 4% pretax and trade at $4 forever, then I'm sorry to tell you, this is not the place to be camping. I think the company has realized that paying out 16 cents a year will not grow the share price. I'd much rather see a $1 advance in the share price in a year as opposed to waiting around 6 years to collect $1 in dividends with no movement in the share price - wouldn't you?
