FYI, There are 2 Assurance tires. The Comfort Tread and the Triple Tread. The Triple tread is the all season tire that you describe as Aqua Tread like. The Aqua Tread had a deep center groove that the Triple tread does not have. The comfort Tread is designed for a more comfortable ride with excellent snow and rain traction. The Triple Tread is a multi-season tire and is designed with the center of the tread containing volcanic pumice to give better traction in snow. Did you ask the salesman about the difference between the two when you bought them? The comfort Tread is slightly higher rated in comfort and quiet ride. Conversely the Triple tread is slightly lower in those 2 categories, and slightly higher rated in wet, dry and snow traction. Have a Goodyear!
Tireman, you forgot to mention the redesigned bead area for a better grip and less wheel slipage, providing that "drive out of the tire store" feeling for a long time. I have both set's and find each live up to the press so far.
