as Goodyear offers buyouts related to the elimination of some 200 union overpaid lops who have been sucking off of the system way too long. RMT Robotics was instramental on streamlining much of the logistics in the plant leading to a big win for consumers as well as paving the way for Goodyear to become globally competitive again.
Naturally the plant could have existed without the robotics, but the excessive wage demands made it imperative to automate
I doubt robotics will go very far in catching up .....after all other Co,'s have been using this technology for 20 years.........also its not the wages its the waste thats the killer for GT. We will know when they are really serious when they shed the Management that has killed the co. for the past 20 years.
