Go Long or Punt
I'm underwater on this one by about 20%. What's the prevailing opinion out there? Stay with it or cut my losses?

It made a double bottom on 9/2 and seem to be recovering. The end of their quarter is Sept and if nothing bad happens they will show good earnings in Oct.

I concur -- the "action" in this stock bespeaks such good "support" that it looks likely to rise a good deal from these levels.
Everybody has been predicting consolidation in this "sector" for a while; I think that's right and whether SSNC "goes" sooner or later, I think it makes this a very safe investment.
PLUS, this "thesis" is going to attract other savvy buyers and it's thin enough so that that should have a huge postive impact. -
My opinion is that SSNC is a great company in terms of it's fundamentals but it's technicals are currently weak. I do not have a position but am considering either $15.35 or low $13's as possible targets for an initial entry. However, anything could happen and I may never see these targets. If they are not hit, I'll consider other stocks.
Since SSNC is a good company, if you can hold on long-term, it should rebound near your entry price and you should be able to recoup your losses and even get out with a possible gain. Just my two cents.

I too am holding on with about 20% loss. And I keep thinking I should take the loss and put what's left into a better stock. The main problem with the stock is that it has absolutely no following at all at this time. Just notice the board = the posts a days and weeks between messages! Can't go anywhere if no one is interested. Keep us posted on your decision. We are interested...
